"VPlay™ software introduces a series of high-value system enhancements that build on VPlay™ systems' unparalleled reliability, flexibility, form factor, and power usage advantages," said Maksim Veremeev, director, product management, playout, Stream Labs. "With this major release, Stream Labs continues to build on the industry-leading functionality and performance that keep VPlay™ well ahead of the competition."

Substantial functional gains for the VPlay™ system include options for supporting up to 16 audio streams, as well and internal signal switching with UHD, HD and SD simulcast output. With these extended options, VPlay™ becomes more flexible when dealing with complex video source needs and, at the same time, reduces the demand on switcher/router control. The VPlay™ software release also provides new integration with VRec™ Audio and Video Ingest, streamlining the workflow.

This new software release, avails complete remote system operation with SRT and NDI low latency monitoring of inputs and outputs in full resolution. Remote system operation has never been easier.

As part of its standard functionality, VPlay™ now also includes previously announced features for integrating rich graphics directly into the playout workflow, closed-caption file insertion, and simulcast routing of UHD, HD and SD channels. Further enhancements to the VPlay™ system are in the ingest and output encoding/transcoding, up/down conversion and transrating of content. VPlay™ does not require an external encoder and can generate multiple outputs for the same channel such as SRT, NDI, HLS, UDP, RTMP, SDI etc.

Stream Labs's line of market-leading broadcast and monitoring solutions, including MultiScreen, MultiProbe and VPlay™, will be featured at Stream Labs's booth E2-35 (Hall 2) during the 2021 CABSAT Show in Dubai, October 26-28-21.
